One of the biggest mistakes business owners make is focusing on revenue while ignoring profitability. More sales don't automatically create a healthier business. If expenses continue climbing, systems aren't working and the owner remains responsible for everything, increasing revenue may simply create a bigger, more demanding job.
You also need to ask yourself: Can this business function without me?
If every client, decision and problem requires you, it's time to look at your systems, processes and delegation. Your knowledge cannot live only in your head. Building a sustainable company means creating something that can operate and grow without your constant involvement.
And that requires you to grow as a leader.
Your business will only expand as much as you're willing to expand your leadership, decision-making and willingness to let go of what you no longer need to personally control.
Success shouldn't be measured by how exhausted you are or how many hours you worked this week.
Measure it by profitability. Sustainability. Freedom. Impact. Opportunity.
