Business Growth By Talking With Your Business
"Ask, "Business, what would you like to create now that would grow us?" and give it time to respond & communicate with you." - Christine McIver
Business Growth By Talking With Your Business
What if the growth you have been trying to force in your business is actually something you could begin receiving instead?
I know that may sound different from the usual business conversation, but I want to invite you to look beyond strategy for a moment. So many entrepreneurs are taught to push harder, hustle more, fix every problem faster, and keep searching for the one right answer. Yet so often, that energy creates more pressure than progress. It leaves you exhausted, reactive, and disconnected from the very thing you are trying to grow.
What I have found is this: when you start communicating with your business, everything changes.
Your business is not just a list of tasks, offers, invoices, and marketing plans. It has an energetic presence. It responds to how you show up with it. It responds to the words you use, the thoughts you repeat, the judgments you buy, and the possibilities you are willing to receive. If you are treating your business like a problem you have to fix, that creates one kind of relationship. If you begin treating it like a partner you can create with, that opens an entirely different future.
One of the first places to begin is with awareness. Notice the energy you bring into your day. When you wake up, are you immediately scanning for what is wrong? Are you already telling yourself how hard everything is? Or are you willing to ask, “What would I like to receive today?” That one shift can begin to change the entire way you lead your business.
I also encourage you to pay attention to your body, because your business is often communicating with you through it. A heavy feeling, a sense of expansion, a tightening in your chest, a lightness in your gut — these are not random. They are information. Your body is one of the ways your business gives you awareness, if you are willing to listen.
And listening is the key, instead of demanding an answer this second or trying to mentally force clarity. Just ask a question and allow space. Ask your business, “What would you like to create now that would grow us?” Then give it time. Let the awareness arrive. Let the energy of your business speak before you rush to strategy.
