The Inner Game of Business Growth: What’s Really Driving Your Results
You’ve done the work. You’ve taken the courses, followed the strategies, and implemented what you’ve been told should work. And yet, your business still isn’t growing the way you know it can.
I’ve been there, and my clients have been there too. And what I’ve learned is this: the issue is rarely about what you’re doing. It’s about what’s happening underneath all of it.
Your business doesn’t grow from what you do. It grows from how you think, decide, and lead.
This is what I call the inner game of business growth. It’s the part that most people avoid because it asks you to look at yourself, not just your strategy. It asks you to become aware of your patterns, your beliefs, and the identity you’re operating from as a business owner.
For a long time, I believed that if I just worked harder, put in more hours, and pushed through the resistance, I would get the results I was looking for. What actually happened was exhaustion. That ‘forcing’ energy drained my creativity and kept me stuck in cycles that didn’t serve me.
When you’re forcing, you’re not creating. When you’re exhausted, you’re not leading.
Your business is always reflecting your internal state. If there’s doubt, confusion, or hesitation within you, it will show up in your results. Not because you’re doing something wrong, but because something deeper is asking for your attention.
This is where awareness becomes everything. Awareness is the first level of growth. When you begin to notice your thoughts, your reactions, and your patterns, you interrupt the autopilot that’s been running your business.
And here’s something I want you to really hear: resistance is not the problem. Avoidance is. When you delay decisions, when you avoid looking at what’s uncomfortable, you keep yourself exactly where you are.
Growth requires you to lead yourself first. It requires you to step into the uncomfortable spaces and choose anyway. It requires you to question the beliefs you’ve been operating from and ask if they’re actually true for you.
Alignment is more powerful than effort. When you are aligned with what is true for you, your decisions become clearer, your energy shifts, and your business begins to respond differently.
So instead of asking what strategy you need next, I invite you to ask a different question: what is going on within me that is shaping my results?
If you’re ready to explore that and create real, sustainable growth in your business, I invite you to take the next step. Book a Business Audit & Strategy Call with me here:
